what's in the pack?
This pack consists of five transparent, elastic patches (they appear white in the photos because of the protective backing paper), each measuring 5 cm x 10 cm.
The protective backing paper incorporates both a cutting guide and application instructions.
Also incuded are two cleaning and degreasing wipes to prep the surface before the patch is applied.

tips on using this product
Keep the patches with you at all times as you never know when you might need them for in-the-field and outdoor repairs, while travelling or working in the garden.
Instructions and a cutting grid are printed on the protective backing paper, making them easy to cut to size and round the corners using scissors.
Simply cut the patch to the size of the area being repaired, allowing for some overlap and ensuring the patch corners are rounded off to prevent snagging, then clean the repair zone (we include small degreasing wipes to help), peel back a part of the protective paper, apply the exposed adhesive surface of the patch to the repair zone, and rub down while continuing to remove the paper.
Your repaired item will be fully useable within minutes and fully bonded within hours.

Some material coatings are designed not to be stuck to, such as Teflon®, for example. Others, such as silicone, require a specific adhesive to work.
tekmate™ won’t work with these.
What we can say, though, is that the vast majority of commonly found materials such as natural and synthetic fabrics, breathable membranes, rigid and soft plastics are readily repaired using tekmate™.
We always recommend testing before committing to a large repair, by simply applying a tiny patch to a discreet part of the item in question, and waiting a few hours to give it a chance to properly bond. Just remember to clean the area under test before applying the patch.
If you make a mistake, or need to reposition the tape or patch, this should be possible if you react immediately. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to reposition the tape or patch.
If you need to remove tekmate™ cleanly and completely, use a solvent that is safe to use with the material to which the patch has been applied. Example solvents include isopropanol, petroleum spirit and rubbing alcohol, but do make sure the solvent in question is safe to use on the repaired material!
Usually there is no need to apply tekmate™ to both sides of the material you’re repairing as the adhesive ensures an extremely powerful bond between the patch/tape and the fabric.
If, however, you’re trying to patch up a large hole which will leave the tekmate™ adhesive exposed, then you should either apply a second patch/tape on the reverse side, or apply a piece of the same fabric being repaired, cut to size, to the reverse side.

Order processing
Orders received Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, are normally processed and shipped either the same day they are received and paid for, or the following working day. We try to ship the same day in the case of any orders received before 2 p.m. Paris time.
Shipping
On placing your order, you are offered a choice of delivery methods. The cost of each option is clearly indicated, as are the delivery times and tracking methods. In the case of an issue with the transport company you have selected, we will notify you and advise you on alternative carriers. You have the choice of cancelling your order and placing it anew, this time selecting a different carrier, or asking us to intervene, in which case we will endeavour to find an alternative shipper and level of service for the same cost.
Delivery
Delivery options range from Next Day to 5 Days according to the information provided by the transport companies. Please be aware the delays quoted are best estimates at the time you place your order, and may vary according to the time you place your order and/or the destination and/or the service selected. For our part, we will of course do our utmost to ship your purchase in the most expedient manner possible, in accordance with your wishes.
Tracking
You will receive tracking information per the service you have selected. In the event of a problem, you should contact us immediately as we are in most cases only informed on when a package is safely delivered to the destination you have stipulated.
Reception & Claims
All goods we sell are packaged appropriately for safe shipment. In the event of a problem with your purchase, please contact us using the contact form. If the package is seriously damaged and you are in a position to refuse a delivery, do so. This is important should you or we ever need to instigate an insurance claim. We may ask you for photos, so you might want to take one or more as a precautionary measure.
