tekmate transparent, high stretch patches are ideal for patching up inflatables – from swimming bouyancy aids to rubber dinghies, bicycle inner tubes and hydration bladders, rigid plastic or aluminium water bottles, etc.
They are also just the job for fixing small leaks in pool liners – just cut the patch to size!
Being transparent, our patches are suitable for use on any item, regardless of its colour, as the patch will be virtually indistinguishable from the item it’s repairing.
You can also use them for repairing holes and small tears in coloured synthetic and natural textiles, such as foul weather gear, tents, backpacks, gaiters, leggings and overshoes.
Keep the patches with you at all times as you never know when you might need them for in-the-field and outdoor repairs, while travelling or working in the garden.
everything you need
This pack consists of five transparent and extremely elastic patches. Each patch measures 5 cm x 10 cm. The protective backing paper incorporates both a cutting guide and application instructions, making them easy to cut to size while rounding the corners of the patch (to prevent snagging) with a pair of scissors is child’s play.
Also incuded are two small cleaning and degreasing wipes to prep the surface before the patch is applied.
using your patches
Following the cutting guide (you can sketch out your repair on this side if it helps), simply cut the patch to the size of the area being repaired, allowing for some overlap and ensuring the patch corners are rounded off to prevent snagging.
Next, clean the repair zone (we include small degreasing wipes to help), peel back a part of the protective paper, apply the exposed adhesive surface of the patch to the repair zone, and rub down while continuing to remove the paper.
Your repaired item will be fully useable within minutes, and fully bonded within hours.
